FIUME VENETO (PN) – Fiume Veneto’s City Council celebrates the great success of the initiative “Saturdays in the Library”, which, this year as well, has seen a growing and increasingly enthusiastic participation from the community. The project, started in September, has scheduled a total of 24 events until May 2025, with an increasingly rich and engaging offer for children and teenagers.

A Winning Initiative that Grows
The extraordinary Saturday morning openings at the library, introduced as a novelty a few years ago, have proven to be a successful choice, so much so that the Administration has decided to increase the events to three Saturdays a month. These opening moments have become a reference point for the citizens, offering a wide range of educational, social, and cultural activities. With the aim of involving an increasingly wider audience, the offer has been expanded to include high school students, with scientific workshops that stimulate curiosity and creativity.
Activities for Everyone: Creativity and Science
Today, one of the most beloved events by the young participants is the creative workshop that saw 18 children working on making a lucky horseshoe. The activity, which combined manual skills and imagination, is just one of the many proposals that the library offers every Saturday. Animated readings and scientific workshops complete an offer that stimulates learning and socialization among the youngest.
Confirmed Success: A Reference Point for the Community
“We believed in this initiative from the beginning,” said the deputy mayor in charge of culture, Donatella Azzaretti, “and the numbers confirm that the choice to open the library on Saturday mornings with events dedicated to young people has been successful. The growing success has led us to further expand the offer, making the library a cultural and educational reference point for the community.”
