A new project called “Comunità Gener-Azioni: Experiences for Growth” is being launched by the cooperative Il Piccolo Principe in Casarsa della Delizia, with the support of the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The initiative aims to create opportunities for personal growth, intergenerational dialogue, and a connection with the community, involving children, families, and young people in activities of discussion and community participation.
A community project: growth experiences for everyone
The project includes school programs, a listening service for preadolescents, teenagers, and adults, experiences of youth volunteering, a theatrical program for young people, and a wide range of experiential workshops. These workshops will begin on November 30 at La Volpe Sotto i Gelsi, the educational and social farm in San Vito al Tagliamento. The project aims to stimulate creativity and promote a more sustainable lifestyle, using recycled materials and highlighting local resources.
“The Creativity Workshop”: workshops for all ages
The workshops will be divided into three main areas: the Game Workshop, the Art Workshop, and the Nature Workshop. Each area will offer practical and creative activities for everyone, from manual activities to artistic and playful experiences, with a special focus on the connection with nature and the use of natural or recycled materials.
Luigi Cesarin, president of the cooperative, explains: “With this project, we want to offer a unique opportunity for the community to grow together, stimulating creativity and raising awareness about sustainability and the importance of the environment. We are happy that our project, presented in 2021, has received the support of the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, a sign that it has been recognized as innovative and important for our territory.”
Creative workshops for children and families
The workshops will begin on November 30, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with the “Christmas Landscape” workshop, dedicated to primary and secondary school children. During this workshop, participants will create artistic cards using painting and printing techniques, which will then be used to create a Nordic-style Christmas landscape with snow-covered houses.
On December 7, the “Woodland Elf” workshop will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, for children aged 8 and up, where participants will create elves inspired by forest stories using carded wool. Finally, on December 14, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the “My Chair is… a Reindeer” workshop will allow children to transform a simple chair into a fantastic animal using recycled materials and lots of imagination.
